Vacancy: Communication and Media Manager

What is EFRAG?

EFRAG is the leading European force in the global financial reporting debate. EFRAG was established in 2001 by European stakeholder organisations with an interest in financial reporting, representing the business community, investors and the accountancy profession. EFRAG’s activities are aimed at ensuring that European views on the development of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) are properly and clearly articulated in the international standard-setting process, so that ultimately IFRS are fit for Europe. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates that can demonstrate experience in communication and also have a keen interest in corporate and financial reporting. An understanding of the international accounting standard-setting process and some knowledge of IFRS would be a distinct advantage. The communication manager should be able to communicate about EFRAG’s activities to individuals with different levels of technical expertise. The communication manager will support the EFRAG Board President in implementing EFRAG’s communication strategy.

What will you need?

We are looking for candidates with the following profile

* Demonstrated experience in communication 

* Demonstrated experience in article and speech writing

* Some experience with social media

* Some experience with maintenance of websites

* Experience in organising conferences and events is a plus

* A keen interest in corporate and financial reporting developments (some understanding of the international accounting standard-setting process and IFRS would be a distinct advantage). 

* Fluent in English (written and spoken) and fluent in French

* Excellent writing skills

* Good communication and presentation skills 

* Good organisation skills
