Extension of the deadline to contribute to Jean-Paul Gauzès’ Ad personam mandate on non-financial reporting standard setting – 13 January 2021

On 30 November 2020, EFRAG Board President Jean-Paul Gauzès issued  a Consultation Document inviting all interested stakeholders to provide input to his preliminary proposals regarding changes to the governance structure and financing of EFRAG if it were entrusted with the development of possible EU non-financial reporting standards. The Consultation Document (which contains a number of questions for stakeholders) focuses on obtaining additional input on a number of matters that were not, or not fully addressed in the first public consultation conducted in October 2020. To allow more time for interested stakeholders to provide their views, responses to this Consultation Document are now requested by 13 January 2021.

EC Executive Vice-President Valdis Dombrovskis invited Jean-Paul Gauzès, on an ad personam basis, to provide recommendations about changes to the governance and financing of EFRAG, in case it were entrusted with the responsibility for the development of possible EU non-financial reporting standards.

A first public consultation, conducted in October 2020, invited stakeholders to provide their views to help develop proposals. Various additional contributions in different forms have also been considered and have helped to develop the preliminary proposals for possible changes to the governance and funding of EFRAG included in this second public consultation.

This Consultation Document also seeks input on a number of matters focusing on aspects that were not or not fully addressed in the first consultation. The Consultation Document builds on Jean-Paul Gauzès' progress report submitted to the EC on 6 November 2020.

Jean-Paul Gauzès' Consultation Document (including questions to stakeholders) can be found here.

Responses are now requested by 13 January 2021 and should be submitted to nominations@efrag.org (with a copy to: Jean-paul.gauzes@efrag.org).
