EFRAG’s Annual Report 2022 is now available

​EFRAG releases today its Annual Report 2022 providing insights on the main achievements of the organisation in the past year and the important developments that took place for both the Financial and Sustainability Reporting fields in the first half of 2023.Download the report here.

​EFRAG is pleased to present its key developments for 2022 and the first half of 2023.

The EFRAG Annual Report includes information on the following:

EFRAG Financial Reporting activities, with a focus on the EFRAG's work regarding:

  • Primary Financial Statements;

  • The Post Implementation Reviews of IFRS 9 and
    IFRS 15;

  • The Pillar II Tax Reform (Amendments to IAS 12); and

  • Our proactive research projects on Intangibles and Accounting for Variable Considerations

EFRAG Sustainability Reporting Activities, providing insights on the EFRAG's activities related to:

  • The first set (i.e., sector agnostic) of the (draft) European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) and related implementation guidance;

  • Standards for SMEs (listed SMEs and a voluntary standard);

  • Sector-Specific ESRS;

  • The XBRL Taxonomy for the first set of ESRS; and

  • The interoperability and cooperation with global initiatives

Hans Buysse, EFRAG Administrative Board President stated:

"I am delighted to share our 2022 Annual review. 2022 was an important year in which we completed the integration of the sustainability reporting pillar into EFRAG's governance structure.  A two-pillar structure overseen by the EFRAG Administrative Board is now operational. EFRAG will continue to strengthen its role as the European voice in corporate reporting and enhance its thought leadership in this domain and be influential at the global level."
