Luis Piacenza

Luis Piacenza is a professional with over two decades of expertise in sustainability, climate change, and integrated thinking, boasting sustainability reporting experience in private and listed entities across a dozen countries around the world. Starting his career in Latin America, he transitioned to Europe to establish a sustainability practice in Spain, serving clients worldwide. His career has encompassed roles in Operations Management, Corporate Finance, and Management Consulting, culminating in a full-time focus on Sustainability. In 2023, he led the ESG & Sustainability Programme for Crowe Global in the Asia Pacific, prioritising capacity building and the advancement of sustainable practices globally. 

Luis' professional development is enhanced by certified training in GHG management. Alongside his consultancy work, he has a rich history in education, having imparted knowledge in executive education at ESADE Business School. He also had a 10-year tenure as Associate Professor of Logistics at the Universidad Católica Argentina, where he conducted research in Management Science. 

Luis' role in developing standards has involved participation in the anti-corruption group of the GRI G4, and later, contributing to the IAASB's non-authoritative guidance for ISAE3000. Currently, he also serves within the IAASB as a member of the accounting industry reference group for the ISSB 5000. Before joining the Sustainability Reporting Technical Expert Group (SR TEG), Luis served on the EFRAG working group for SMEs. 

His educational background includes an Engineering degree, an MBA from Warwick Business School, an MSc in Psychology from Northumbria University, and a Master's in Financial Assets.
