Elina Peill

​Elina Peill is a Finnish Corporate Reporting Specialist at Deloitte. She has more than 20 years of experience in external financial reporting covering both the implications of international accounting standards, especially IFRS, and development of reporting processes and practices including ESEF reporting. She has also participated in and led several IFRS and US GAAP conversion projects. She has served advisory and audit clients in various industries in Finland, but also more internationally, focusing currently in reporting challenges in Sweeden. In addition, she has been working to develop IFRS & Accounting Advisory Services for Deloitte both in Finland and more broadly in the EMEA region.

Elina is especially interested in presentation of IFRS financial statements and accounting for revenue and leases. She also seeks to promote discussion on the impact of climate change on the IFRS financial statements and is part of the Expert Advisory Panel on ESG/Sustainability disclosures at Deloitte. She is a co-author of an online information resource on IFRS reporting and a book on listed entity financial statements in Finnish. She participates in the translation of IFRS standards into Finnish and training and other activities of the Finnish association of authorized public accountants.

Before joining Deloitte in 2011 Elina worked as Senior Accounting Expert (IFRS) at the Finnish Financial Supervisory Authority and in IFRS accounting consulting services of PwC.
