​EFRAG extended the deadline for the call for candidates for EFRAG TEG members to 2 November to 2020​


EFRAG is looking for candidates from a wide range of backgrounds and geographical origins and welcomes all applications. In particular, EFRAG seeks candidates with an insurance or a user background. EFRAG strives for geographical and gender balance in the composition of EFRAG TEG. 

Applications, setting out the name and CV of the proposed candidate, should be sent to EFRAG by latest 2 November 2020. With the extension of the deadline EFRAG hopes that a broader range of candidates will be able to apply. Interviews are scheduled to take place in Brussels on 16 November 2020 (preferred date) and 12 November 2020 (fall back date). 

EFRAG expects to be able to inform candidates about their appointment before the end of the year.

EFRAG seeks candidates for Financial Reporting Project​ Director 

​​​​

EFRAG is seeking a full-time Financial Reporting Project Director with a nationality from an EEA country to provide leadership to its technical financial reporting activities. EFRAG would welcome the Project Director to work as an employee or on basis of a secondment.  The successful candidate will have strong credibility in the financial reporting community and have outstanding knowledge of IFRS Standards and current issues in reporting. Experience or a network in the standard setting scene is a plus.  Interest and experience in research activities would bring added value.​


The candidate will have strong management and excellent communication skills in order to support the high technical standing that EFRAG has achieved on the international scene. Moreover, the successful candidate will be fluent in English and have strong and persuasive writing skills.

Project Directors are key members of EFRAG’s management team and works closely with the EFRAG TEG Chairwoman and the other Directors and reports to the EFRAG TEG Chairwoman and to the EFRAG CEO.

EFRAG seeks secondments


EFRAG is looking for technical managers with IFRS experience on a full time or part-time basis seconded from your firm or company or as a service-provider from your firm or company.

Joining EFRAG represents a unique opportunity to acquire or develop further insider knowledge and understanding of the IFRS Standards that are being developed by the IASB and which are due to be implemented by European companies. 

Working at EFRAG means working in multi-cultural teams. Working at EFRAG will give you the opportunity to discuss IFRS issues at the highest level, with European experts and IASB representatives. This position will also allow you to become a real IFRS expert in a range of topics beneficial for your future career.

EFRAG is open to different levels of experience and seniority of candidates with as minimum manager level. Candidates should ideally move to Brussels but in the current crisis circumstances we are open to consider different ways of working. The secondments are for a period of two years (a different length can be discussed). We expect candidates to be fluent in English and have good English writing skills.

​What is EFRAG?

EFRAG is the leading European force in the global financial reporting debate. It was established in 2001 by European stakeholder organisations with an interest in financial reporting, representing the business community, investors and the accountancy profession. EFRAG's activities are aimed at ensuring that European views on the development of financial reporting standards are properly and clearly articulated in the international standard-setting process, so that ultimately IFRS are fit for Europe. Following the implementation of the reform in 2014, EFRAG's activities include assessing whether the IFRS proposals/requirements are conducive to the European public good and impact assessments. This includes the interaction with economic concerns such as financial stability and economic growth. EFRAG works closely with the IASB, National Standard Setters and European stakeholder organisations, in Europe and worldwide.

What would you do at EFRAG?

You will be involved in research and analyses, supporting EFRAG's activities to influence the IFRS developments in the most proactive way and leading to the publication of EFRAG comment letters, discussion papers or endorsement advices to the European Commission. Under the supervision of the EFRAG Technical Director and Research Director, you will work on various projects in small teams.

We are looking for candidates with a keen interest in financial reporting who are eager to participate in the global accounting standard-setting process.
