​Stakeholders can now read the programme for the joint outreach event ‘Business Combinations Under Common Control: Perspectives from Portugal’ held by EFRAG, with the Comissão de Normalização Contabilística (CNC-Portugal), the Ordem dos Revisores Oficiais de Contas (OROC) and the IFRS Foundation on Thursday 8 July 2021 (9:30 to 12:00 WET - 10:30 to 13:00 CET). On Thursday, 8 July 2021 (9:30 to 12:00 WET - 10:30 to 13:00 CET) the joint outreach event will focus on the views of Portuguese stakeholders - notably of a panel of Portuguese preparers and auditors -​​ and European Stakeholders to discuss information that they consider important in this area. 

This event will be a public online webinar with eminent speakers from CNC- Portugal, OROC, IASB, and EFRAG.  

Lúcia Lima Rodrigues, CNC-Portugal Vice-President and Saskia Slomp, EFRAG CEO will open the event.

Tadeu Cendon, IASB Board Member will present an overview of the IASB proposals in the Discussion Paper Business Combinations under Common Control

Chiara Del Prete, EFRAG TEG Chairwoman and Filipe Camilo Alves, EFRAG Senior Technical Manager, will provide insights on the EFRAG preliminary position and emphasise the specific feedback that EFRAG is seeking from constituents. 

Pedro Aleixo Dias, Chair CNC Private Sector Accounting Standards Committee will moderate the 2 panel discussions on the following topics:

  • Project scope and selecting the measurement method
  • Applying the acquisition method, applying a book-value method and disclosures
