Dr. Sebastian Heintges 

Sebastian is living with his family in Düsseldorf, Germany. He likes to travel to different countries meeting people.

He worked for PwC from 1993 to 2021 in Düsseldorf and Frankfurt and became a partner in 2003. He worked in Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory before he joined PwC's Global Accounting Consulting Services network. He represented the firm's view on financial and sustainability matters in numerous positions. Most notably with the Institut der Wirtschaftsprüfer e.V. and on the European Taxonomy Regulation. From 2015 until 2018 he was a Board member with the International Public Sector Accounting Standards Board.

He joined EFRAG's sustainability reporting  team in October 2021 working on the so-called cross-cutting standards ESRS 1 and 2 before they were handed to the European Commission as part of the Set 1 standards.
