Andrea Lionzo is Full Professor of Accounting at the School of Banking, Finance and Insurance Sciences of Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan. He obtained a PhD in Business Administration from Cà Foscari University and a Master in Business Administration with honors from Fondazione CUOA. Andrea is also an Italian Chartered Accountant.
Before joining Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Andrea was Assistant Professor and Associate Professor of Accounting at the Department of Business Administration of University of Verona.
His main research interests are focused on financial accounting, particularly on recognition and measurement, M&A accounting, accounting for financial institutions, and corporate governance. He authored and co-authored several books and articles on these topics.
He is a board member of Società Italiana dei Docenti di Ragioneria e di Economia Aziendale (SIDREA). He is also a member of European Accounting Association (EAA) and of the Academy of London Stock Exchange Group.
